The people who make the Highguard game have released a new update for this hero shooter game.
This update adds many things that players have been asking for, including a new way to crouch, settings to change your view on game consoles, and – most importantly – better game stability. The company says that thanks to this update, the game now crashes 90% less often.

You can see all the details of what changed in the Highguard update below:
Better Settings
Note: To get these changes to players quickly, some menu options are only in English right now. Other languages will be added later.
Game Controls
You can now set Crouch to either Hold or Toggle for all game systems.
PC players can now set Aim Down Sights to Hold or Toggle (for now).
If you use Toggle ADS and then press Sprint, it changes your scope view. This can be confusing on controllers. PC players should change their scope button if using Toggle ADS. We’re looking into adding this for console players who can’t change buttons yet.
Picture Settings
Console players can now adjust their Field of View up to 110.
Low settings for shadows and reflections are now better for performance, though the picture might look a little less detailed.
Low shadow setting now also turns off fog effects.
Added a new “View Distance Quality” setting that helps control how the game uses your computer’s power.
Players can now turn these features on or off, no matter what other quality settings you use:
Anisotropic Materials
Chromatic Aberration
Bloom
Motion Blur and Depth of Field need more testing to turn off safely. These options will be added very soon.
Players with DLSS can now choose a DLSS setting. More options and better descriptions will come in the next update.
Players can now turn off Global Illumination completely.
Fixed a problem that was limiting laptop players to 60 frames per second no matter what their settings were.
Crash and Bug Fixes
This update fixes crashes that could happen in these situations:
Leaving a game on PlayStation 5 with certain controller inputs.
Loading into games on computers with slower storage devices.
Many other problems related to online play and finding matches were also fixed.
Friends now show up online correctly after you accept their requests, and Xbox status updates properly. Major crash fixes have reduced crashes by 90%, making the game much more stable.
Friend status is fixed – players now appear online correctly and Xbox presence updates reliably. Our biggest crash problems are gone, resulting in a 90% reduction in crashes.
Highguard was announced last month, ending a big video game awards show with its trailer. The game comes from people who used to make Titanfall and Apex Legends. When Highguard came out earlier this week, many players started playing it right away. However, some people were disappointed with things like the size of the game areas and the 3v3 game format.
Since this somewhat difficult start, other game developers have shown support for Highguard. A different game company said: “No game is perfect when it first comes out.”
