Arknights Endfield is the newest major game in the gacha style, where you collect characters like in a lottery. It might surprise you, but it offers a truly refreshing way to play. For me, its appeal boils down to three key strengths: the visual appeal, the fighting parts, and a base-building feature that makes it different from others.
Let’s begin with the look and feel of Arknights Endfield, as it caught my eye right away. This is a science fiction game with action, which is common in this type of game. But it uses a modern, practical future style that makes every character, whether you play as them or not, look very stylish and cool.
Fancy street clothes mix with high-quality, custom weapons in a smooth, space-like world. It’s a pleasure to explore, move around the areas, and simply enjoy the sights. I can say without doubt that Arknights Endfield is one of the prettiest games in its group, based just on how it looks. It doesn’t need a super powerful computer to run; it works well on my average setup.
Once you start the fighting scenes in the game, it slowly shows you a great example of team-based close-up battles. The system is simple to grasp: regular attack moves, a special ability, and a big ultimate power. With four team members active at once, the game lets them switch between acting on their own and joining in for combined attacks when certain conditions happen.
Arknights Endfield gets it right by making you feel like you’re leading a group that works together, not handling four lone fighters that need constant attention. As you go further in the game and get more characters, it turns into an enjoyable way to handle your team. You can pick and pair members by their role and element types.

That’s nice, but what really makes this game unique and better than similar ones is its system for building and running a base. If you like games where you plan factories like in Factorio or something close, this might be your kind of action game. Deciding the best spots for buildings, linking them to form production centers feels like an extra fun game added on. You can leave for a task, come back to see your base busy making things, and collect lots of helpful items—that’s when Arknights Endfield really won me over.
If I put it next to other popular games like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, I would rank it right up there with them for overall quality. It’s still early, so things could improve or not, but from the start, the makers at Hyperglyph have done a good job.
Remember, this is a gacha game, so the top weapons and characters are behind special pulls that cost in-game money or real cash. At launch, it feels a bit tight with free pulls, making it hard to get all the rare ones without spending money.
Not having everything doesn’t slow down your progress much, but it’s something to think about if you plan to play a lot in a new game. That’s just how these games work, but if you’re new to paying for pulls, consider it before starting.
Right now at release, Arknights Endfield seems like a strong start, with chances to grow into 2026. Its top three features come together to make a game that’s good for anyone wanting a fresh action experience.
Arknights Endfield works on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
