New Valorant Agent 30 Shown at Santiago Tournament

The company that makes Valorant, called Riot Games, has shown off their new character, Agent 30, in a video for the Masters Santiago tournament. This tells us where the character comes from and gives us a look at the tools they’ll use in the game.

This is the first new character added to the game in 2026. The last new character, Veto, came out back in October 2025.

As teams get ready for the next part of the tournament, players are already looking closely at the video to see if this new character will change how the game is played right now.

What We Saw in the Agent 30 Video

The video ends with two characters, Clove and Killjoy, following a signal to a spot in Zagreb, Croatia. This confirms what people thought about where the new character comes from – they’re from Europe. The characters go into a garage with lots of machines and green industrial decorations.

Most importantly, when the garage door opens, you can see a device that looks like a stim beacon. It’s shaped like a tool that another character, Brimstone, uses, but where it’s placed and how it looks suggests it does something different. It’s probably an area tool that helps make abilities stronger or last longer.

Agent 30’s Job and Tools

We don’t know much about Agent 30 yet, but the clues suggest they might be a mix of two character types, maybe between Controller or Initiator. The machine theme means their tools are probably built around gadgets and helping the team.

People who watch the game closely have seen circles around Raze’s bombs in the promotional pictures. This makes some think that Agent 30 uses sound to make teammates’ tools work better.

This way of designing fits with what Riot has been doing lately to make different tools work well together. Just like how another character, Gekko, was made stronger to be better at their job, Agent 30 seems designed to fill a special spot. They might be like a “medic” for abilities instead of for health. If the device in the video creates an area that makes tools stronger or reduces their cooldown time, it would add something completely new to how the game is played.

How Agent 30 Could Change Valorant

Adding a character that makes tools better could completely change how professional teams plan their attacks. Right now, the common way to play often depends on exact timing. A character who can change that timing or make things work better would force teams to learn new ways to play.

Teams playing in Masters Santiago and later tournaments might need to figure out if this new character stops certain setups or just makes the game faster.

Professional players have been saying that some character types have been boring lately. In a recent talk, a player from Cloud9 named Penny talked about coming back to the Americas region and said that some aggressive characters haven’t been doing much in the European area. Agent 30 could be the thing that makes these struggling characters useful again by giving them the support they need to make bold attacks work.

But it takes time to learn how to use new characters well. As another player, Demon1, noted about Cloud9 learning to deal with Chamber, working together with abilities is very important at the highest level. If Agent 30 needs complicated teamwork to be helpful, they might be used more in organized tournaments than in regular player games at first.

Agent 30 Release Date & What We Know

Even though Riot Games hasn’t said exactly when, we can guess when they’ll release the character based on their usual schedule. The full look at their abilities is expected during the Masters Santiago finals on March 15, and the character should be available to play shortly after on March 18.

With the countdown to the 2026 Season starting, players should get ready for a change that might shake up how the game is played in just a few weeks.
