Oracle relies on her Persona, Necronomicon, which looks like a UFO. Her skills focus on analyzing enemies and supporting her team. Here is a breakdown of her main abilities:

Necronomicon Skills

  • Pentest Complete! – This skill lowers the defense of all enemies for 3 turns by 6%. The defense reduction increases based on Oracle’s Attack stat. If enemies hit with a weakness while under this effect, the defense down is doubled. If Oracle’s Analysis progress is at 100%, she also grants Data Storm to the whole team for 2 turns.
  • Vulnerability Found! – This makes one enemy take 6% more damage for 3 turns. The damage taken increase scales with Oracle’s Attack. When allies hit an enemy with this effect, Oracle gains 20% Analysis progress. At 100% progress, this also grants Data Storm.
  • Data Link Established! – This can only be used when allies have Data Storm. It boosts one ally’s Attack by a large amount for 2 turns. It also inflicts Virus on all enemies for 1 turn, matching the attribute of the targeted ally.
  • Stat Boost (Passive) – This passive increases the party’s stats by 20% of Oracle’s stats.
  • Programming Pro – Oracle starts every battle with 100% Analysis progress.
  • Rootkit – When Data Storm is active, all allies get a shield equal to 30% of Oracle’s Attack for 3 turns.

    Awareness levels and abilities

    • A1: Payload Optimization – When Analysis reaches 100% or Data Storm is active, allies get a 12% critical rate boost.
    • A2: Storage Redundancy – Allies attacking an enemy debuffed by Oracle get a 25% Attack boost. Also, if an ally would be knocked out, they survive with 1 HP and the team gets a shield for 3 turns. This happens once per battle.
    • A3: Elegant Code – Increases the skill level of Data Link Established! and Vulnerability Found! by 3.
    • A4: Zero-Day Exploit – When an ally uses a Highlight, Oracle gains a Security Flaw stack (max 2). Using Pentest Complete! or Vulnerability Found! consumes these stacks to increase the effect by 8% per stack.
    • A5: Master Codebreaker – Increases the skill level of Pentest Complete! by 3.
    • A6: Wizard-Level Hacker – Data Link Established! targets all allies and inflicts Virus based on each ally’s attribute. Data Storm duration increases to 3 turns. Allies deal 10% more weakness damage and 25% more total damage.

What do Data Storm and Virus do?

Oracle is excellent because she can create new weaknesses on enemies while boosting damage to existing ones. She does this by building Analysis progress. This progress goes up by 5% for every ally action, or 20% if you use Vulnerability Found!.

When Oracle uses Pentest Complete! or Vulnerability Found! at 100% progress, she activates Data Storm. This increases ally attack by 20%, or 40% if hitting a weakness. While Data Storm is active, Oracle can use Data Link Established! to inflict Virus.

Virus is Oracle’s best tool. First, any enemy resistances (Null, Repel, or Drain) turn into Resist. Then, Resist elements become Neutral, and Neutral elements become Weaknesses. The most important part is that any element already a weakness takes 25% more damage. This allows you to destroy bosses with only a few weaknesses using the right damage dealers.

How to use Oracle in P5X

    Use Pentest Complete! first

If you have Oracle at Level 70 or higher, she starts battles with 100% Analysis progress. Use Pentest Complete! immediately to lower enemy defense and activate Data Storm.

Use Data Link Established! while Data Storm is active

Data Storm lasts for 2 turns. Oracle’s skills have a cooldown of 4 actions. This means you can use her again while Data Storm is still up. Make sure to use Data Link Established! to apply Virus and trigger weaknesses.

Target foes’ existing weaknesses for maximum damage

Even with Virus active, you should still target enemies’ original weaknesses. Hitting these elements gives a 25% damage boost. This turns your team into a powerful damage machine.

Best team composition for Oracle in P5X

Oracle works well with almost any team. She boosts your party’s performance in any situation. Just bring one or two strong damage dealers that target the enemy’s weakness, and Oracle will maximize the team’s damage.

If you can pair her with top-tier 5-star damage dealers like Joker or Queen, and a support unit like Chord to boost attacks, you will be nearly unstoppable with Oracle added to the mix.

Weapons in this game follow a simple rule: more stars mean better stats and abilities. Always aim for the highest star weapon you can get. Here are Oracle’s weapon options:

    • Laptop (2-Star) – Basic stats. Increases Attack by 11.3%.
    • High-Spec Laptop (3-Star) – When an ally deals weakness damage, Oracle’s Attack goes up by 15%. Stacks 2 times.
    • Cyberdeck Pro (4-Star) – Increases Attack by 12%. After inflicting Virus, the target takes 10% more damage for 2 turns.
    • Technomage Ultra FS (5-Star) – Increases Attack by 30%. When an ally deals weakness damage, that ally’s Attack goes up by 10% for 2 turns. After Oracle debuffs an enemy, they take 7.6% more critical damage for 3 turns. Stacks 2 times.

Best Revelation Cards for Oracle in P5X

There are Revelation sets designed specifically for Navi units. The best set for Oracle is Labor & Resolve. The 4-piece bonus from Labor is key: it boosts the party’s Max HP, Attack, and Defense by 8% when a Navi is active. When combined with Resolve, enemies have their Defense reduced by 10% whenever Oracle inflicts a debuff. This perfectly complements what Oracle already does.
