People who look into game data say they have proof that the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has updated the final part of Yakuza 3 for the new Yakuza Kiwami 3.
The game has not come out yet, but these data experts say they found the whole story script inside the test version you can play now. It looks like the end has been made different.
The story below has very big surprises for Yakuza 3, so only keep reading if you do not mind knowing them ahead of time!
In the first version of Yakuza 3, the bad guy Yoshitaka Mine falls to his death at the end. He takes another bad person, Andre Richardson, with him. This sets up what happens in Yakuza 4. But now, if what they say is right, Mine does not die from the fall. He lives and joins the Daidoji group. This big change could impact all the other games in the series. Dark Ties is a side story game that comes with Yakuza Kiwami 3. It tells what happened before with Mine as the main character.

One player said the end of Dark Ties got out and it changes the game’s finish a lot. It even changes something in Yakuza 4. Another person said they have clear evidence for the new ending. They wrote I did not believe it at first, but then I checked the test version myself using a tool to look inside the files. I went to the auth file and found the proof for the new end.
Back in September, the studio said there would not be any big changes to the story. But they did say we might learn more about why some characters act the way they do.
The good part is we do not have to wait long to see if this is just someone playing a joke or if the end really is different. Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties will come out for PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and older consoles on February 12, 2026.
This new talk comes along with fans asking to take out Teruyuki Kagawa from the game. He plays Goh Hamazaki. He admitted to wrong actions with a woman in 2019, touching her without her okay.
Last weekend, we found out Yakuza 3 Remastered will not be sold alone after Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties comes out next month. People who already bought it can keep playing. But new players who want the old version must buy the full Yakuza Complete Series pack.
