It is clear that Hytale has become the biggest independent game of 2026 so far. The game managed to secure enough funding to cover the next two years of development even before it launched into early access last week. The concept of having a true competitor to Minecraft proved to be a winning idea. However, this has not stopped creative modders and enthusiasts from doing something unexpected: putting Minecraft inside Hytale.
On January 17th, a user known as iamcxv7 on X (formerly Twitter) announced that he had successfully gotten Minecraft to run within Hytale’s world map. He achieved this through what he described as “pure pixel data manipulation.” This sounds quite complex and impressive, signaling that this new blocky game might have a very bright future when it comes to modifications and creative experiments.
