Marvel Rivals Championship Season 6: Schedule and Format Revealed

NetEase has officially shared all the important information about the Marvel Rivals Championship (MRC) Season 6. This season is called “Night at the Museum,” and it matches the game’s own Season 6 update. The new game season introduces Deadpool as a character who can play as a Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist.

The championship tournament will take place from February 14 to March 15, 2026. It will be held in three different regions: the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and the Pacific region. This tournament serves as a pathway for players to qualify for the 2026 Ignite Series. A new system for moving up and down between leagues has been introduced for this purpose.

Players who perform well in this championship will have a chance to secure spots in the upcoming Ignite Preseason and Stage 1. Specifically, top teams will earn at least 25% of the available league spots in each region. However, there is a rule that professional league players are not allowed to participate in the Marvel Rivals Championship this season.

For the first time, Marvel Rivals is working directly with esports organizations. They will share revenue from in-game cosmetic items. Even though some organizations like ENVY have dropped out of the partnership, this move marks a new step in the game’s competitive scene.

Format Breakdown

The tournament structure is designed to give many teams a chance to compete. It starts with Open Qualifiers where teams play a single match to decide who advances. The top 128 teams from these qualifiers move directly to the Double Elimination stage.

Teams that finish between 129th and 512th place will enter the Closed Qualifiers. They will compete here for the remaining 128 spots in the Double Elimination stage. To encourage participation, teams must play at least six matches in each qualification stage to claim in-game rewards.

The Double Elimination stage follows a specific format. Matches from Round 1 through Round 9 are best-of-three series, meaning the first team to win two games moves on. From the Lower Bracket Final onwards, matches become best-of-five. The Grand Final is a best-of-seven series, where the first team to win four games is crowned the champion.

Regional Schedule

The timeline for the tournament is set to begin in late January. The registration and preparation period runs from January 24 to February 14. The Open Qualifiers are scheduled for February 14 and 15.

Following that, the Closed Qualifiers will take place on February 21 and 22. The main Double Elimination stage will run from February 28 through March 15. This schedule applies to all three regions participating in the championship.

Prize Pool Per Region

Each region will have its own prize pool distributed among the top-performing teams. The distribution is as follows:

  • 1st place: $7,000
  • 2nd place: $3,500
  • 3rd place: $2,500
  • 4th place: $1,500
