The Apex Legends Global Series Championship is now feeling much more serious. Out of the 120 players who traveled to Japan for the event, 60 have already been sent home. The competition is getting tougher every day.
The action on the third day started with the lower bracket, often called the losers bracket. Crazy Thieves managed to do just enough in their matches to keep their amazing comeback story alive. However, Team Liquid could not get organized. The highly talked-about team finished in 53rd place and had to leave the tournament early.
It was also a sad day for Men of Culture and their fans who were hoping for a great underdog story. The team had reunited and fought hard in the final two matches, but it was not enough to reach the next stage of the losers bracket.
One of the most exciting moments of this round came from Riddle. A player named Takamasa “Meltstera” Kawai performed a move that looked like something out of a Grand Theft Auto game. He stole not one, but two Tridents to bring his teammates back into the fight.

Winners Bracket Shows No Mercy
There were very few surprises in the winners bracket. Team Falcons showed why they are the team to beat. They led the group from the very beginning, securing third, second, and first place finishes in the first three rounds. They also collected a total of 25 kills during that time.
TSM found their form when it mattered most, securing third place to move into the finals. Both Alliance and Supernova continued their strong play from the group stages to make it into the top ten. Supernova waited until the very last round to secure their spot.
Hotdog Mafia also deserves a special mention. They finished the winners bracket in an impressive fourth place. They are one of only two teams without an organization backing them to make it this far. If they perform well tomorrow, they will likely catch the eye of several professional organizations.
The Final Round of the Day
The real drama unfolded in the final round of the day, which was the lower bracket final. Citadel Gaming could not keep up their excellent performance from the group stages and were eliminated with only four points. Wolves Esports, who had been close to the top ten all weekend, could not do enough to make it to the finals.

On the other hand, Crazy Thieves continued their incredible comeback journey. Legacy and the home favorites, Fnatic, also managed to make it through to the next stage.
Only three teams came out of the losers bracket to earn a spot in Sunday’s final. This is fewer than ever before in the history of ALGS LAN events, showing just how competitive this year has been.
Looking Ahead to the Finals
Looking toward tomorrow, Team Falcons is in a great position to win the trophy. They won the first pick in the draft, which allowed them to secure their preferred drop spot at Skyhook West on the World’s Edge map.
However, Alliance also had a very strong draft, picking locations like Energy Bank, Outpost North/North Pad, and Survey Camp. Many fans will be watching Crazy Thieves closely, hoping to see if they can pull off the biggest comeback of the entire tournament.
