Fellowship Pre-Season 2 Update Set for February 2026 Launch with Major Changes

The development team at Chief Rebel has announced the first details regarding the highly anticipated pre-season 2 update for Fellowship. This update is currently scheduled to be released on February 19, 2026. Fans of the game have been waiting for news about what comes next, and this announcement provides a clear look at the future of the title.

As is common with games that use a seasonal model, Fellowship’s pre-season 2 will include a full progression reset. The developers state this is done “to ensure a fair and clean starting point for everyone.” When the update goes live, players will see their gear, abilities, talents, and all currencies tied to their accounts reset to their starting values.

Two New Heroes Join the Roster

While many things will be reset, there are some items players will get to keep. Cosmetics that have been earned or purchased will remain in the player’s inventory. Additionally, any rewards earned from special events and mounts will also be kept by the players.

The developer does note that leaderboard rankings will be reset as well. This is because these rankings are tied directly to seasonal progression. Because of this, the developers encourage players to spend any currency they have gathered since the game’s launch before the pre-season 2 update goes live.

The cast of playable characters in Fellowship is expanding with this update. The game will receive a new tank hero and a new healer hero, giving players more options for team compositions and strategies.

The team also plans to improve the experience for new players. They aim to do this “while also giving existing players something meaningful to do outside of Dungeons or while waiting in queue.” This will be achieved through the introduction of a new biome described as a “low-pressure, drop-in/drop-out play space.”

Although specific details about this new area are not available yet, it is expected to help players learn game mechanics. It will also serve as a place for experimenting with different heroes, abilities, and character builds without the pressure of a main dungeon run.

Balance Changes and New Features

The pre-season 2 update will also focus on balancing the current hero roster. The developers plan to buff builds that are underperforming. Specific mechanics, such as Tariq’s swing timer, are getting reworked. The talent tree will also see some changes, though no new abilities are planned for the current update cycle.

On February 19, Fellowship will launch its in-game store for the first time. This store will introduce new cosmetic options for heroes. Along with the store, the update will bring general UI polish, improvements to gameplay flow, and the addition of hero-specific keybinds.

Furthermore, additional features are planned for later in the update cycle. This includes the introduction of communities, which are “designed to help you find your people.” These communities will essentially act as a “lightweight guild or clan system” for players to connect with one another.

In addition to communities, profile customization is also planned. The initial version of this feature will allow players to use frames, backgrounds, titles, and icons to personalize their profiles.

The pre-season 2 update for Fellowship sounds like a fairly sizeable overhaul. It will be interesting to see how many players return to the game when the update releases on or around February 19, 2026.
