MLBB M7 World Championship Breaks Six Amazing Records

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, or MLBB, had its M7 World Championship. This event became the fourth largest in esports history for the most people watching at once. That is not the only big thing. After the games ended at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, six great records were broken.

The M7 event shows how this phone game keeps growing strong. It is now the most watched esports event ever for mobile games.

M7 World Championship’s New Watching Records

The old record for most watchers at once for a mobile game tournament was from Free Fire World Series 2021. It had 5,415,990 viewers. During the lower bracket final of M7 between Alter Ego and Selangor Red Giants, they beat that with 5,594,138 watchers.

Then, in the big final on January 25, 2026, between Aurora Gaming PH and Alter Ego, the number went up to 5,680,511 watchers.

  1. Top mobile esports event by watchers at peak time: 5,680,511.
  2. Most hours watched for a mobile esports event: 135,559,616.
  3. Peak watchers record for Indonesian broadcasts: 3,854,485.
  4. Peak watchers record for Tagalog broadcasts: 1,358,856.
  5. Peak watchers record for TikTok esports: 2,498,373.
  6. Peak watchers record for Bahasa Malaysia broadcasts: 800,072.
  7. These numbers do not include Chinese viewing sites, says Esports Charts.

    M7 World Championship Results and Final Places

    In the upper part of the knockout games, Aurora Gaming PH did the best. They beat Team Liquid PH 2 to 1. Then the all-Filipino team won against Alter Ego 3 to 1. They also beat Selangor Red Giants 3 to 2 in a close match to get to the final.

    After losing in the upper bracket, Alter Ego came back strong in the lower one. They beat Team Spirit 3 to 1. The all-Indonesian team then beat Team Liquid PH 3 to 2 in a tight game. They finished Selangor Red Giants 3 to 1 to reach the final.

    Aurora Gaming PH stopped Alter Ego’s return. They won the final 4 to 0 against the home favorites to take the M7 title.

    Who Got MVP in M7 World Championship Finals?

    Aurora Gaming’s roamer, Dylan “Light” Catipon, was picked as the best player in the finals. He did great in all seven games of the series. Light got an extra $5,000 prize. He also won four match best player awards in the knockout games.

    Alter Ego’s Syauki “Nino” Sumarno was the event’s rising star. Alter Ego’s Arifudin “Arfy” Dingarai won five match best player awards in the knockout stage.
