LoL star Bin Almost Quits BLG After Explosive Argument With Management
Even though BLG is still one of the top teams in the LPL for League of Legends, the last few years haven’t been easy. It seems like Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin might be getting tired of it all.
After coming very close to beating T1 in the Worlds 2024 Finals, the team hasn’t quite managed to get back to that level where they could compete for a world championship.
Things are tense within BLG, especially after losing twice in a row to JDG. This is surprising because the team is mostly made up of players who haven’t proven themselves much, except for Chen “GALA” Wei and maybe Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia. Losing to JDG, especially two times in one week, shouldn’t be happening.
It’s not totally clear what caused the big argument with the people in charge, but feelings clearly got out of hand. The top laner, Bin, just left the team. BLG even got their top laner from the LDL league ready in case Bin didn’t come back.
BLG Bin Walks Out on Team After Tense Argument
Bin has been a really important player for BLG’s success over the last few years. He’s had one of the best careers in League of Legends history. He almost won Worlds in 2020 and even got the only Pentakill in a World Finals match ever. He also won MSI 2022 when he was playing for RNG, so he knows what winning feels like.
But, he’s the kind of player who likes to be the main attacker. He’s known for playing characters like Jax and Fiora, and he wants to prove he’s better than the player he’s up against in his lane. Lately, though, he’s often had to play safer characters like K’Sante and Sion, who are not as strong. He doesn’t get the chance to be the main carry like he used to.
While this might just be because of how the game is played right now, it’s hard to believe that some of his tough matches recently haven’t caused some stress within the team.
We don’t know for sure what the argument was about, so take what you hear with a grain of salt.
From what we understand, Bin was upset with the management, not his teammates. There’s definitely something about how the team operates that he’s not happy with, whether it’s how they pick characters, how they practice, or something else.
Bin left the team but later came back and said sorry for what he did. Right now, the LDL top laner Yang “Wenbo” Wen-Bo, who was brought in to take his place, is still on the team but isn’t starting. Keeping him around seems like BLG’s way of pushing Bin to do better and showing that they can replace him if they need to.
What’s more, Weibo jungler Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang said that Bin almost got kicked off his team late last year because of something. This also happened after the whole team was found at an illegal gambling place last year, which was kind of ignored and the team wasn’t punished for it.
It’s not clear what will happen with BLG next, but they are still in a good position to make it to the playoffs and look like a strong team. For now, it depends on whether the team can fix their personal problems quickly enough to stay at the top of the LPL.
